Costs
The single source of truth for every tunable number in the system - pool sizes, per-point rates, and Advancement XP costs. The app reads this file directly; the same numbers are also written into character-creation.md, gifts.md, boons.md, and the Advancement chapter as human-readable prose for players, but those copies don’t drive anything - if you change a number here, update the matching prose there too so they don’t drift.

Gifts are priced per Level, not per pool point - a flat 4 Discretionary buys one
Gift Level regardless of how many Limiters it carries, and a Gift Adder costs what its
points are worth in Levels (a Lesser Adder is one Level, 4; a Greater is two, 8).
Every other row on this table is per pool point: a Boon costs its own creation points
times 2, an Attribute point costs 8, and so on.

Universal Caps
Apply at creation and after it alike. An Attribute may be raised past 10 with XP,
but never contributes more than 10 to a roll; since every Attribute point grants
one sub-stat point and no sub-stat exceeds 10, an Attribute of 20 is the point at
which both of its sub-stats are full.
